A Court of Thorns and Roses Book 1
Alright, I will admit I am a bit late to this party. I am reading as fast as I can and will be caught up soon, as all the books are on my Kindle. I will also admit that I have also bought the entire series in hardcover for my library.
Feyre, wow what a great female lead character. You get caught up in her perspective from the start, for example, how she is watching the snow. At that moment, you felt like you were in those woods with her. The Fae are like the ones from older stories. These are not your sweet kind, pixies. These are the kind that range from the boogie man to almost ethereal.
I have grown up on fantasy books as being my go to genre to read. I’m sad that it has taken me so long to get into this series, but I have dove straight into the deep end. This first book is so well written and gives off Beauty and the Beast vibes, which, if you didn’t know, is my favorite fairy tale of all time. I have already recommended this book to all my bookish friends that I know haven’t read it. I hope if you are like I was and missed this, run to the bookstore, your library or download it on whatever platform you read on. This is an amazing book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, A Court of Mist and Fury.
