The Protector Guild Book 1
Max has grown up in a small secluded mountain cabin with her adopted brother and father. Cy has taught her how to fight, but not a lot about the world that she is a part of. Suddenly, a werewolf attack happens and her small family move to the Protector Guild. Now she has to learn a lot but can hold her own with some of their top fighters. Only she’s not sure how long she’s going to be here, so she will soak in all the knowledge they will teach her. Will it be enough is her only concern?
This is the first book in the Protector Guild series. The story changes character perspective throughout the book, but it is done beautifully. Max is smart and though she has been sheltered from this world outside of physical training, she’s a quick study. Of the guys that she meets in the academy, I like the relationship between her and Wade. I feel like he is one of those characters that is brains and emotions. Giving him almost a poet like attribute. I loved reading this book and couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Forging the Guild.
