River has gone through her share of family issues and works twice as hard to get what she wants. Kieran, Cal, Ash and Rad will do anything to make it, even if it means using River to get a leg up on the competition. River has had a connection with these men going as far back as grade school going into high school. The guys just don’t know it.
This is a supper fast-paced story and kept me up till I finished it. It is a part of the same world as Aly Beck’s The Apocalypse Society series. Our female lead is actually the little sister of two of the main male characters from that series. But you don’t have to read it to enjoy this book. I enjoyed this book in how it showed the guys were just as dysfunctional as River. The characters are just so beautifully flawed in this writing. I can not wait to read the next book in the series, Sweet Strings.
