Adara is now headed to the water Fae in hopes of coming into all her power. While Einar doesn't trust anyone with her safety. Leap and Marilyn are trapped by his uncle, who also has Quye. Will Adara agree to her great grandmother's wishes to marry her off? Will Einar ever tell Adara about their mate bond? And who can any of them trust in a world of shadows?
This is the second book in the of Dragons and Fae series. We got to see more of our original side characters perspective. Which lets us know more about the character’s development and shows us more of this world. Adara wants to help the people, but also can't shake her growing feelings for Einar. While Einar finally realizes his error from the first book. I found this book to be a roller coaster with political intrigue and romance. I couldn’t get enough of it. This book is brilliant and I loved reading it. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Caged in Shadows.
