Ophelia and her sister, Genevieve, have just lost their mother. Just after her death Ophelia gains the family magic and becomes a Necromancer. But soon after they find that there are issues with their home, and Genevieve knew about it. Feeling hurt by her loss and learning about the family's situation, she had a huge fight with her sister. The next thing that happens is her sister runs away. In Ophelia's search for her everything leaders her to Phantasma.
This is the first book in the Wicked Games series. Ophelia is such a brilliantly dynamic character. How she deals with her issues is so well written. Blackwell, is such a dark dream. His dialog and banter had me laughing many times and the two together are perfect. New Orleans set in a Gothic Paranormal setting is dark and romantic. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series, Enchantra.
