She begs him to reject her, but he refuses. So she takes matters into her own hands and rejects him. The Alpha casts her out. On the run, she makes a deal to fake mate the Vampire King, Elias. Now she just has to figure her place.
This is the first book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. Elias is one of those rulers who doesn’t want fate to dictate his life. But he is a brilliant king and good for his people. The connection between him and Dannika is so sweet. Dannika is someone who won’t just do something without cause. She is fair and just. I enjoyed reading this book, it can be read as a standalone. Though I do want to read the next book in the series, Queen Me.
