This is the first book in the Bargainer series. The story takes place in an altered version of our world, making it easy to understand. The magical creatures with in the world are well explained. Callie being a siren, is brilliant in how her glamor works as well as her draw to the sea. Des is broody and a touch of an artist. He curled my toes. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series, A Strange Hymn.
