Charlie left her past to live in a very secluded mountain town. Then Bishop shows up looking for a vampire that he doesn’t believe is really here. That this entire mission is just a punishment. Only it isn’t.
This is a novel that is set in the Protector Guild universe that takes place four years before the Academy of Protectors. Charlie is a sweet character that you just want the best for. Bishop is one of those great brooding characters that is more than just that. He is questioning things he shouldn’t, which makes him a better character. Enjoyed reading this book it was quick and a great introduction to the Protectors universe. I wanted to read this before I started the Academy of Protectors, which is the first book in the Protector Guild series.
