Tangled Duet Book 1
Oria lives with her mother in a secluded tower. It is all for her protection, as many people would come for her and her magic. She only sees the men that come for the magic potions that she makes with her magic. But when some thieves come looking for the potion to help save a friend, she uses her frying pan on them. Though there is something about these men and it finally is pushing her to figure out a way for her to leave. She just has to figure out how and the best way to protect them all.
This is the first book in the Tangled Duet. It is a Rapunzel/Tangled retelling with a reverse harem story. It is also a spinoff of the Belladonna and Her Beasts series. Our thieves, Ryder, Gray and Soren whom we met in the other series are amazing. I love how quickly Gray just wants to protect Oria. Gray and Soren being twins, was a major plus for me. Even though I knew Mother was just rotten, I loved that we only saw small amounts of her. She is powerful, but yet we don’t really know to what extent. Leaving us with a great sense of foreboding. The story was one that I couldn’t put down once I started reading it. Mandy Muse does not disappoint in this new retelling and I can’t wait to read the next book in this duet, Tangled Hearts.
