Kara lost the only person she cared about six years ago to the aliens inhabiting her planet. Now on a mission to fight them and find her friend, she has joined the resistance. Only she her plans don't work out and she now has to work on the inside with others like her. Will she be able to save her friend and help Earth in the process?
This is the first book in the Mark of Chaos Chronicles. Kara struggles with her past and fears the power that she wields. The story takes place on an occupied Earth where humans and aliens are working to fix our planet, or so Earth is being told. There is so much going on and Kara is having to wear many hats, all while trying to figure out her place in everything. This is one of those books that you can’t stop reading once you start. With each plot twist, it made for a more dynamic story. I loved reading this book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, The Mark of Dreams and Darkness.
