The Neverland Chronicles: Beyond the Veil, Second to the Right, Straight on till Morning, Queen of the Lost Boys
This series takes place about a hundred years after Wendy and Peter’s adventures in Neverland. We meet Gwen and she’s just had a birthday from hell. Peter watches her from the window and seeing her crying enters her room. Gwen offers him money but all Peter says, “Girl why are you crying?”
As some of you know I love fairy tales and Peter Pan is my second favorite fairy tale, sorry. I even played Wendy in a school play. This particular series has been on my TBR and I just got the final book. So loaded them all up onto my Kindle and binged the whole thing. The books are brilliant. The fact that Peter and the lost boys are no longer young kids but men was flawless. The characters are much more three dimensional. Such as finding Tiger Lily is actually a fae princess and the other person connect to the Divine like Peter. The way the world is written you see it as more than just the island from the fairy tale. That Neverland isn’t just the only special world but that it is one of many across the Vail makes me hope for more stories as well. I loved all of these books and couldn’t put them down once I started reading them. I will admit that when I started I did not know about Beyond the Veil so I actually read it after I read the whole series. If you like Peter Pan, fairy tale ret

“Beyond the Veil:
It’s been more than 100 years, and Wendy Darling still haunts Peter Pan’s dreams. The boy he had once been is lost, and the man he’s become, is plagued by the girl that got away. She’d taken everything from him when she left, his Lost Boys and his heart. Peter was broken and Neverland paid the price.
Even with the passage of time, a long dead Wendy still weighs heavy on his mind. Peter’s obsession compels him to plan one more journey across the veil in search of a replacement for the girl that took his heart- a daughter of the Darling line. But after Neverland was almost destroyed in Wendy’s wake, the faeries will stop at nothing to prevent him from bringing another Wendy girl back to Neverland.
In order to keep his secret safe, Peter and his new band of Lost Boys must complete a perilous quest and risk putting ancient magic in the wrong hands, all for the sake of a girl.
Second to the Right:
Gwendolyn Mary Darling Carlisle’s young life has been a saga of misfortune. After a tragic accident unexpectedly took her parents, Gwen finds herself the sole caregiver for her ailing sister. It's her eighteenth birthday. With responsibilities weighing heavy, she struggles to find something worth celebrating. Everything in her life has fallen apart. That is, until she finds a mysterious man in her bedroom.
Peter Pan has returned to the Darling estate. Only the boy from Neverland, who refused to grow up, has in fact grown into an alluring man. It’s time for spring cleaning and he’s determined to bring a descendant of Wendy back to Neverland with him.
Gwen is swept off her feet and across the Veil. Engulfed in a fantastical world of mermaids, Fae, and Peter’s new band of Lost Boys. As she gives herself over to the wonder of Neverland and the affections of Peter and his Lost Boys, she finds herself living out hedonistic fantasies that she could have only ever dreamed about. But not everything is as it seems in Neverland. Her memories of home, and her beloved sister are fading. A treasured family heirloom, a locket with its own ties to Neverland, is the only tether to the sister she’d left behind and the life she is obligated to return to. The fairytales she’d heard as a child only hinted at the truth. Neverland bears some dark secrets.
Straight on till Morning:
No one returns from Neverland unscathed. Gwendolyn Mary Darling Carlisle is no different. Seduced by a fantasy, only to have it shatter her soul. Deception and lies haunt her memories of Peter and his Lost Boys, turning her into a woman she no longer recognizes.
The love for her ailing sister was the only thread that pulled her back to her destitute life. But Michaela’s time is growing short. Gwen is forced to come to terms with the fact that death is at their doorstep and she is powerless to stop it. That is until she discovers a secret that could change everything.
She is desperate to find a way back to Neverland, knowing her sister's life is the cost if she fails. She embarks on a perilous journey beyond the Veil, only to find that it’s not the paradise she left behind. Neverland is on the precipice of disaster. Gwen must find a way to move forward from the past. Learn to trust the Lost Boys again, and secure some unusual alliances to save both her sister and Neverland.
Queen of the Lost Boys:
All she ever wanted was a happily ever after…
Fate has never been kind to Gwendolyn Mary Darling Carlisle. For a brief moment, she was given a taste of the fairytale… and it was divine. Until a darkness descended upon Neverland.
Now, the island is ripe for the taking. An evil usurper, cloaked in black wings, seeks the realm for himself. And he is ripping the Lost Boys apart from within. Debts are coming due, and a dark stain is seeping into Gwen’s soul.
Every trial and tribulation pulls her further from the men she loves, and the family she’s desperate to hold onto. The throne of Neverland is up for grabs. Can she find the strength within herself to defeat the darkness? Will she don the crown, and become Queen of the Lost Boys?”
