Cassia is not your typical princess. She trained with her brother, in hopes of one day have her own adventures. Only instead, she is sent to another country to marry a prince in the name of peace. But on the journey over she sees a man overboard and tries to saving him. Then she meets someone who looks just like him only to find out it isn't. When she finally meets the prince Louie, she's not sure what to make of him. What will she do?
This is the first book in the Tides of Fate series. Cassis kicks ass and is loyal to her best friend, Liz. The twins, Agenor and Belus, are both wrapped up in secrets and such an anger for one another that it’s almost palatable. While Louie is unsure of Cassia, but he is still falling hard for her. The story is complex and keeps to a fast pace. I found the world an excellent use of history and mythos. This is such a great story and I can't wait to read the next book, Tides of War.
