King and Boogie run Halloween town for the Mayor. They are very good at their job for the underworld Syndicate. And for the past two years, a little doll shows up on Halloween. This time she isn't going to slink off into the night not to be seen again for another year.

This is a Nightmare Before Christmas reimagining. It is dark and twisted in all the right ways. King and Boogie will make your toes curl. Ally has so much more depth. The twist to the world is brilliant and the fact that it is part of her the Belladonna and her Beasts and Tangled series just gives it that much more depth. The story is perfect read for spooky season. I absolutely loved this book l and how dark it was and I would love to see more about the different towns in the furture.

Product description and Images are from amazon.com:

“We are King and Boogie

The monsters in the night.

Halloween town is our haven and when we get orders from the Mayor, we do what needs to be done.

Until a girl dressed as a doll shows up one Halloween.

She invades our every thought with each year she visits until she doesn’t keep her distance anymore.

We want her, we crave her, we need her.

One night of fun and we decide she’s ours.

She fits perfectly with us until she disappears into the early morning.

When we find out she’s someone we can’t have, we have a choice to make.

Kill her or take her.

Zero is a spicy Nightmare Before Christmas retelling novella, check your trigger before you read.”
